Sugar, the bittersweet crop: Sugar futures closed down today by 110 points. In recent years, Sugar production has become a much more complex commodity. Brazil, the world's ethanol production leader, has contributed to the skyrocketing supply and demand for sugar. With their success, many other countries have looked to Brazil as a role model for becoming less dependent on fossil fuels.
