Non-farm payrolls fail to live up to expectations: Once again, analysts and economists were off the mark in predicting the non-farm payrolls figure. The Labor Department reported this morning that non-farm payrolls increased by 121,000 in June, well below the average estimate of 200,000 jobs and less than 1/3 the figure reported earlier this week from ADP Employer Services and Macroeconomic Advisers.
