Corn Futures Have Caught Fire Recently

Corn futures coming on strong: Corn futures have caught fire recently, as the USDA sharply cut back on the estimated acres that US farmers plan to dedicate for Corn production. Higher energy prices were the main reason for the shift in acres, as Corn production is a heavy user of Natural Gas based fertilizers.
